Obituary for Dr. Orville Mayo Clark, Jr.

Dr. Orville Mayo Clark Jr., age 92 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was a Optometrist and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pikeville. He was a member of the Thomas C. Cecil Masonic Lodge, the El Hasa Shrine, the V.F.W., former President of the Pikeville Jaycees, former President of the Kentucky Optometric Association, former member of the Pikeville Rotary Club. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Dr. Clark was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on September 3, 1925 the son of the late Orville M. and Kathleen Coleman Clark.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Gina Lyn Clark Ratliff on August 6, 1999 and by one brother, Ronald C. Clark.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Greer Clark, a son, Dr. Orville Mayo Clark III of Pikeville, a daughter, Alicia Clark Herr (Art) of Pikeville and son-in-law, Jeff Ratliff of Pikeville.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Gatlin Clark, Kellsy Clark, Whitney Hamilton, Tiffany Ratliff Skeens (Willie) and Taryn Ratliff Coleman (Jimmie) and five great-grandchildren, Madison Williamson, Lily Grace Coleman, Cruze Coleman, Slade Skeens and Syler Skeens.
