Frank Maynard, age 78, of Georgetown, Kentucky, and formerly Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday December 19, 2017 at the St. Joseph Hospice Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Frank was born in Pikeville, Kentucky August 9, 1939 the son of the late Corbett and Nanye Elizabeth Hatcher Maynard. Frank was also preceded in death by his brother Ed Maynard and his two sisters Phoebe Scott and Glenna Jean Lester.
Frank was a manager of Harkins Mineral, a Kentucky Colonel, a United States Army veteran serving in the 82nd combat engineers, and a member of the Sons of The American Revolution.
Mr. Maynard is survived by: his wife-Mary Ann Carter Maynard of Georgetown, Kentucky, his six daughters-Evelyn Street and her husband Tim of Ohio, Cindy Clark and her husband Bob of Ohio, Corbie Boykin and her husband Bart of Georgetown, Kentucky, Franka Ickes of Lexington, Kentucky, Kristi Wright and her husband Chris of Marietta, Georgia, and Kambra Russell and her husband Eric of Midland, Virginia. He was also the proud grandfather of fourteen grandchildren that include: Caleb Street, Jesse Street, Taylor Pezo, Sam Clark, Sienna Spurlock, Logan Kendrick, Jacob Russell, Drew Ickes, Connor Wright, Isaac Russell, Tia Bennett, Kelsie Wright, John Russell, and Carter Russell. He also has four great grandchildren.
Frank will be forever missed and loved by his family and many friends.
The visitation will be at the J. W. Call & Son Funeral Home after 1:00 P.M. Thursday December 19, 2017.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Thursday.
The burial will follow at Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, Kentucky.
