Obituary for James "Jimmy" Franklin Blair

James Franklin "Jimmy" Blair, age 66 of Pikeville, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his home in Pikeville.
He was former owner and operator of the Log Cabin Restaurant for 32 years, an accomplished carpenter, a Kentucky Colonel and proud graduate of the Pikeville High Class of 1969. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pikeville.
Jimmy was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on March 6, 1951 the son of John Paul Blair and Delores Agnes Elliott Blair.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Paul Blair on September 5, 2001 and by his mother, Delores Elliott Blair on March 30, 2004, along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved son, J.P. Blair II on December 6, 2012 and his Maternal Grandparents, Mike and Julia Wright Elliott and his Paternal Grandparents, John Blair and Katherine Branham Boyd.
On November 16, 1968 he married his wife, Patty Rai Trivette Blair, she survives along with their son, Matt Blair of Pikeville and their daughter, Kristy Blair Pena and her husband Rob of Lexington, Ky.
He is also survived by two brothers, Johnny Mike (Gwen) Blair of Cape Coral, Florida and Jack (Charlese) Blair of Lexington, Ky. and one sister, Janet (Robby) Thompson of Pikeville, Ky.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Blair, Peyton Boyd Blair, David Wesley Deleon, Lydia Katherine Deleon, Laura Elise Deleon and Jordyn Paige Blair and a host of nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
