Obituary for Jesse R. Collier

Jesse R. Collier, age 96 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in the Signature Healthcare Center.

He was a Kentucky Power Transmission Foreman and had been with Kentucky Power for 42 years upon his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a served in the United States Marines. He was inducted in the UPIKE Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999.

Jesse was born in Fleming Neon, Kentucky on March 29 1921 the son of the late Enoch and Cordella Bentley Collier.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Mildred Cline Collier.

Jesse is survived by three sons, Jessie R. Collier Jr. and his wife, Becky of Ocala, Fla., David Cline Collier and his wife, Sherry of Pikeville and William Steele Collier and his wife, Rhonda of Naples, Fla.

He is also survived by five Grandchildren, Jennifer Leslie Fouch, Brooke Elizabeth Martin, Dr. William Matthew Collier, Dr. Mega Fuller and Jessica Collier and twelve Great-Grandchildren: Andrew Fouch, Abbey Fouch, Alec Fouch, Emmy Collier, Arabella Collier, Collier Fuller, Caleb Martin, Caroline Fuller, Cohen Fuller, Catherine Fuller, Joshua Martin and Silas Martin and also his Caregiver, Marsha Adkins.
Visitation will be in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel from 12 Noon until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Crawford and Bill Baird officiating .Entombment will follow in the York Mausoleum at Johnson Memorial Park, Pikeville, Kentucky.

Serving as Pallbearers will be, Andrew Fouch, Alec Fouch, Collier Fuller, Caleb Martin, Cohen Fuller, Joshua Martin and Silas Martin
