Obituary for Orville Lee Adkins

Orville Lee Adkins of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away on March 23, 2018 at 48 years of age.
Orville Lee and his twin, Kenis Gene were born on April 27, 1969, Orville was older by 6 minutes. They were born to Orville and Maxie Adkins.
He lived at Shelbiana, Ky. when he was born and then moved to Hurricane Creek. He married the love of his life and best friend Cynthia Lynn Vivien on June 17, 1988. Out of their union, two beautiful daughters were born, Courtney Marie and Jamie Lynn.
He was preceded in death by his father, three infant siblings and one older brother.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, three grandchildren, his mother, four brothers and four sisters.
He joined Cynthia-Ann United Baptist Church in July 1999. Orville loved helping the church and its members any way he could. For many years he served as the clerk for Cynthia-Ann, as well was a deacon. In the days leading up to the 3rd weekend, during the summer months, he could be seen cutting grass with a weed eater. Just like his father, he was a hard worker.
He also loved to line songs in church. When he was a younger church member, he and his mom could be found sitting at the kitchen table, where she taught him how to line songs in the good old fashioned way. His voice was strong and he sang with spirit and understanding.
Orville was a loyal and faithful member.
Orville had lots of hobbies and interest such as hunting, which included hunting dogs, bows and guns. He also loved fishing.
In closing, Orville was a loyal, funny, hard working man, that will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.
The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank-you to all that helped along their journey. For those you prayed, visited, called, texted, cooked, loved and so much more.
They will never forget the kindness shown to them during this incredibly difficult time in their lives.
