Obituary for Sam (Sammy) Robert Belcher

Sam (Sammy) Robert Belcher, age 85 of Pikeville, Kentucky formerly of Elkhorn City passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was a retired supervisor for Bell South, a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ and the Cornerstone Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel, a veteran of the United State Air Force and a member of the Elkhorn City DAV Chapter 140.
Sammy was born at Elkhorn City, Kentucky on February 28, 1933 the son of the late William Estil |Belcher/Looney and Thelma Elswick Wiley.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sadie A. Belcher and one brother, Joe Belcher and one sister, Christene Parsons.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Walters Belcher and one son, Robbie Belcher of Lexington and one daughter, Mary Anne Belcher of Elkhorn City and three step-sons, Donnie Scaggs (Sherry) of Pikeville, Charlie Scaggs (Nancy) of Belfry and Mark Scaggs of Pikeville and one step-daughter, Nancy "Sissy" Ratliff of Pikeville.
Two grandchildren, Lucy Belcher and Sadie Belcher and seven step-grandchildren, Shauna Scaggs, Kelley Scaggs, Jessica Scaggs, Cory Scaggs, Chuck Scaggs, Gunnar Ratliff and Grayson Ratliff.
And Eight Step-Great-Grandchildren, Lindsey Scaggs, James Ryan Price, Sarah Grayce Scaggs, Bailey Claire Smith, Kole Smith, Kane Smith, Jaycie Endicot and Annastyn Endicot.
