Obituary for Stallard Hall

Stallard Hall, 92, of Pikeville, passed December 7, 2017 at his home on Winns Br. Rd, Pikeville, Ky.
Stallard was born October 24, 1925 in Pike County, Kentucky Alfred Hall and Mary Roberts. He was raised on Robinson Cr., Pike Co., Yeager, KY. Stallard had a colorful full life. He worked at a VA Hospital in Maryland as a young man with two of his brothers. He later served 3 years in the U.S. Navy, where he toured most of the world. Stallard worked for Columbia Gas for 35 years, after retirement from the he worked for J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home, and later established his own business “Hall Monument Co”. He loved meeting people and never met a stranger.
Stallard is a life member of Disabled American Veterans, a Kentucky Colonel, and lifelong Republican.
Besides his parents, Stallard was preceded in death by his loving wife Goldie Marie Ratliff Hall in 2012. A daughter of Trimble and Myrcle Kimberlain Ratliff. Three (3) brothers Brafford “Boot” Hall, Dallard Hall and Dalfred Hall.
Stallard is survived by three (3) sons and one daughter, Alfred Trimble Hall (Nancy), Rickie Lee Hall (Connie) of Pikeville, KY, Ralph Dee Hall, (Shirley) of Richmond, Ky, and Mary K. Hall Martin (Vic), who reside Mt. Juliet, TN. Stallard is also survived by one brother Dallas Hall and his wife (Martha) of Taylor MI. Many nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law also survive him.
Stallard’s grandchildren are Aaron T. Hall (Jennifer), Andrew M. Hall, Todd Martin, David S. Martin (Stacey), Christopher D. Hall, Chadwick D. Hall, and Kimberly Hall. Great Grandchildren include Wesley Hall, Olivia Hall, Ashton Hall, Mary Elizabeth Martin, and William (Billy) Martin.
The family greatly appreciates the wonderful caregivers, who have become part of the family, Debbie Sowards, Eddie Sowards, and Alicia Tibbs, and the great neighbors who have lent so much support during his illness. We also appreciate the wonderful employees of Bluegrass Hospice Care.
Stallard is a member of the Maranatha Bible Church and has strong Christian beliefs, praying nightly for his loved ones, the community, and the leaders of this great country. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Our Lord loved him too, so He leaned down and took his hand bringing him home. May Stallard’s Eternal Bed be covered by a Blanket of Heaven’s Brightest Stars.
Stallard will be at rest beside his loving wife on the Stallard and Goldie Hall Cemetery established on the family farm at Winns Br. In Pike County, Kentucky. Written by a loving child.
