Obituary for Willard Ernest Morrison

Willard Ernest Morrison age 84 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center at Robinson Creek, Kentucky.

He was a retired lineman for Southern Bell, a coal mine owner/operator, coal leasee, a member of the Jaycees, F.O.P., a Kentucky Colonel, a Pike County Deputy Sheriff and a member of the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War.

Willard was born at Meta, Kentucky on July 22, 1932 the son of the late Thomas and Luna Bevins Morrison.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Ann (Christine) Morrison and two brothers, Carl Clayton Morrison and Edward Morrison and one sister, Dorothy Burnette.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Adkins Morrison and two sons, Paul (Terri) Morrison of Lexington and John Keith Morrison of Lexington and one daughter, Debbie Stone of Wetumpka, Alabama and one step-daughter, Kimberly Moore of Pikeville.

He is also survived by three grandchildren, Tyler Morrison, Kristyn Stone and Ciara Stone and two step-grandchildren, Brittany Ritz and Courtney Ritz and two step-great-grandchildren, Donnie McClanahan and Zayn Estep.

Visitation:
Visitation will be at Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church after 6 p.m. Friday with services at 7 p.m.

Funeral:
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church with Pikeville Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Betsy Layne DAV Chapter 169.

Interment:
A Graveside service will be conducted in the Bent Ridge Cemetery on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
