Obituary for Gladys King Blankenship

Gladys King Blankenship, 86, of Raccoon, passed away March 11, 2019 at her residence. Born at Miller’s Creek, Gladys was the daughter of the late Ferrell and Viola Hamilton King. She was a nurse at the Appalachian Regional Hospital at South Williamson and member of the Church of God. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ernest Duran Blankenship, brothers: Monroe, Ira, Thomas, Frank, Leo, Wilburn, and Kenneth King and sisters June May and Ethel Stanley.
Survivors include: two sons: Frank Blankenship of Elkhorn City and Greg (Lisa) Blankenship of Joe’s Creek, one brother: David King of Lower Johns Creek and one sister: Mary Mag Conley of Huntington, IN. Five grandchildren: Gregory Michael, Klarisa Shae, Vanessa Quinn, Rebecca Paige, and Haley Brooke Blankenship: three great grandchildren: Kamryn Grace, Cooper Josiah, Karver Ivan Blankenship.
